For a further Christmas recruitment incentive not only will you receive the usual £20 Love to Shop voucher from the branch if you recruit a new member, you will also have your name entered again into the raffle for every additional new member that you recruit –  INCREASING YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING A PRIZE .

Despite the enormous efforts made by branches we did not achieve the 50% turnout required by the law before industrial action is possible. While we all know the law is unfair, we also know that without a high turnout we cannot turn the anger about the treatment of staff into tangible action so we would like to thank those of you who voted and who worked to increase the turnout for your support.

UNISON thanks Teesside University for its commitment to implement £9.00 per hour Voluntary Living Wage from 5 November 2018.

It is important that your membership details are up to date.  The branch is currently updating its membership system to include preferred email address for all its members.  So if you prefer to use your personal email address or want to check what is on the system, please let the Branch Membership Officer know by either contacting or ringing the Joint Union Office on 01642 342218.

Thanks to our UNISON Living Partners, LV and Lighthouse Financial Services, everyone who recruits a member during Grovember can enter a prize draw – one entry per person recruited.  One lucky winner will receive £1,000 and four runners up will win £500 each.  This is open to all members

UNISON has turned November into Grovember. We’re welcoming new members to Britain’s biggest union – and thanking existing members – with exclusive money-saving offers.

At a time when we might have expected to see a collapse in membership, UNISON has held steady. We did that by keeping our focus on what’s important to members, fighting for their jobs and their pay and high-profile campaigning

We’d like to thank existing members for being a member and we’d like to welcome all the new members to the UNISON family, so we’ve negotiated amazing deals during November, just in time for Christmas!
